Confederate Officer Uniforms

Nearly all of our officer's uniforms are made to order for the customer. This is as it should be. Historically, officers had their uniforms tailored for them. In order to give you the most for your money, we do it the same way. Many of the officers' uniforms are highly individualized and we are able to give the best value and the best product by working with you to provide just what you want.
Officers' uniforms can be planned by an exchange of visual depiction-photos, painting, prints, etc. We need to know what you expect to look like and you need to know just what you are going to get. We have listed some standard types and some features below.

Officers' uniforms are the items which cause more customer dissatisfaction (due to miscommunication) than any other. They are all custom crafted here in our shops. You must submit your specifications in writing. We will no longer take phone orders due to the chance of a miscommunication. We do encourage you to call so that we can help you plan the uniform. You must then mail or fax your order in with written specification. Officer items are not rush items. You must allow 30-45 days for delivery. You may not change anything once the item is underway so please be sure to know exactly what you want before you order. We may be able to alter but we will not refund or exchange.

Note: (Specify type of button you prefer Confederate Officer Droop Wing Eagle Button, "I", Script "I", "C", "A" or any state button: CSA, MS, NC, LA, TX, GA, VA, AVC or plain brass)

Hand sewing (Buttonholes: We will mark the coat for buttonhole placement and leave them for you to hand sew. Topstitching: We will not topstitch if you so request.)

#920 Confederate Officer Shell Jacket
As with the Federal Officers, the shell was mostly seen among the line grades and the cavalry and artillery officers. This shell jacket is waist length and is patterned differently from Enlisted Shells.
Officers Shell may be had in Single Breasted or Double Breasted, Specify.

#921 Confederate Officer Frock Coat
Again, as with the Federals, this is the standard coat for officers. Variations include colored or piped collar and cuffs, with four(4) to six(6) button tail, these coats are fully lined and have the 3 inside pockets. As with the Confederate Officers' Shell Jacket (#920), they are quite spectacular when our superior gold braid hand laid on the sleeves and our metallic embroidered collar insignia. Officers Frock may be had in Single Breasted or Double Breasted.

#OF909 Confederate Officer Foot Trousers
Our trousers are made of wool (see listing above) with cotton drill facings and pockets. The fly is lined with lightweight cotton to make it more flexible for buttoning. The vent closure is belt back of the waistband to allow for waist adjustment. Officer trousers have a belt back unless otherwise requested. There is a dart on the back of each side that makes the trousers taper into the waistband. Each pair has a watch pocket and side seam pockets (or Mule Ear Pockets, Specify). If we hem them, they may be interfaced on the cuffs with a 1 inch overlapping vent. Real bone buttons are provided for front closure and suspender attachment.

When ordering Trousers, Please Specify Inseam If You Wish Them To Be Hemmed. We Do Not Hem Below An Inseam of 30" due to restocking difficulties.
